Actually it was announced prior to release. I think I knew about 4 weeks before and managed to get a couple of pieces to complete my set. That's why you should make it a point to read the forums when we are getting close to a big patch. It was a big clue though that Sarpan, Katalam, and Danaria were going to be gone, and that was pretty well known.

I have to agree with Melody McClure Delpart, after playing since 2012 I find I am unable to level any more after 56. With the loss of 4 maps , and them replace with one, we have lost a ton of quests. Also, since Enshar or Cygnea have limited quests therefore limited areas we can quest at, the ppl who consider themselves pvpers just go to the quest areas and kill lower levels cheap Aion Kinah. Srsly....we have no place to go to get from 56 to 65. There are not enough quests to level.

Also BMs use to be from level 60 now only level 65s can do them..wtf??? I'm looking for another game to replace the love i had for Aion. I have high lvls of every class on both sides, my smallest being 56, which i can't level. I don't enjoy pvp. There use to be something for everyone in Aion now it's all pvp based. The lower levels level way too fast without even doing half the quests and the lvl 56 - 65 is almost impossible to lvl. The new maps new more quests for lower levels and BMs need to be put back to at least 62 even if it's in Levinshor. This game has lost all that was interesting to me.

Dear Final Fantasy 14 customer support, please politely vanish because your existence kills portions of my soul each time I have to deal with you. Today in events I sat waiting for 2 hours when the estimated wait time was 1 hour, so I sat patiently I like to consider myself as a patient person.

Finally after 2 hours of waiting for customer support I got an agent named Andrew. Now before we get into how dumb this guy is. My issue is I have the code that I used to purchase the game, I have the name on the account buy FFXIV Gil, and backup email for it, and I can answer a security question.
Now seeing as how I have all of this wonderful material to prove my ownership of the account... it isn't enough (SHOCKER I know). Now I haven't logged into this account or this game much rather in forever. So this is where the 2 hour wait for customer support begins I go through this wait and finally we are connected with Andrew. Now in no circumstance ever do I put my real birth date with my name for personal security reasons. FFXIV cross platforming

Another 4 hours of time that could be used in-game spent on worthless maintenance.. Square Enix get your act together. Different people doing these and it's emergency maintenance, not a big freaking deal, go do something else for the 4 hours jeez. There are 2 things Sqex love maintenance and gill sellers, 2 days in a row 3hr+ maintenance. I would have loved to play. Really. Except for some reason my "excellent" connection keeps dropping in seconds, assuming I can get past the 9002 or 2002 error.
